What I Think About Blogs!

Although I was skeptical about blogging at first, it's been pretty fun so far. Setting up a customized account and being able to write whatever you want when you want is a pretty exciting thing. I think blogs would be great in the classroom because it's a quick way for a student to write about whatever aspect necessary-whether it is a reflection of something they read or questions they may have from class. Additionally, most kids like to be on the internet anyway; just as they would be able to write on their own MySpace or Facebook page, they could write on a classroom blog to better their education, as long as comments are constructive. However, I don't want blogs to take away from teacher to student communication. It is much easier to send a text than to confront someone in person, but I think that person to person interaction between students and teachers is one that should not be undermined.
